The revised Syntec index (base 100 in 1961) for January 2024 was published on February 29, 2024.

The value of the Syntec index for January 2024 is 310.5 to 293.9 in January 2023, an annual increase of + 5.65% over 12 months. The December index is up + 0.13% from the previous month (310.1 in December 2023).

The Syntec index reflects the evolution of salary costs (mainly intellectual services) of companies in the professional branches of the Syntec Federation:

  • Syntec Informatique“,
  • Syntec Ingénierie“,
  • Groupement Syntec des Syndicats d’Études et de Conseil“.

It is mainly used to update the financial clauses of engineering, contracted personnel, maintenance, and IT contracts. Its value is calculated each month based on a survey of representative companies.

The Ministry of Economics and Finance in France has recognized the Syntec index since December 11, 1974. The following index will be released around March 29, 2024: the Syntec February 2024 index.
